PICKit 2 Clone ICSP

Based on a post from some months (years) ago PICKit 2 Clone ZIF Socket, I wanted to share another PICKit 2 Clone version, this design was developed by Suky and Felixls.

The programmer doesn’t have a ZIF socket, but it has an ICSP (In Circuit Serial Programming) connector, so we wouldn’t need to remove the PIC from the circuit. The pin distribution is similar to the original PICKit 2 as follows:

  2. VDD Target
  3. VSS (Ground)
  6. Auxiliary

The programmer has a jumper that allows us to choose the supply voltage between 3.3V and 5V. This programmer can also be used with MPLAB IDE, so it would be possible to debug the programs.

The schematic and PCB can be found at Suky‘s webpage. Right now Suky’s webpage is down, but you can find the files on this link PicKit2_Clone_5V3.3V.
