This is a short post. Currently, I am working with some micro metal gearmotors and I know from previous experience that soldering cables directly to the motor pins is a bad idea. The pins often break and are almost impossible to fix or replace. To avoid damaging the motors, I have designed a PCB that can be soldered directly to the motor pins. This should reduce the mechanical stress on the pins and prevent them from breaking easily. The PCB features a JST PH 2.0 connector and a 100nF ceramic capacitor between the terminals.
The PCBs were made by OSH Park and I ordered the After Dark version, which features a black substrate and transparent soldermask. If you would like to get the PCBs, you can order three boards from OSH Park for $1.85 USD. Alternatively, you can find the schematic and board files on GitHub
